A family camping site in the Landes.

The Camping la Jaougotte with its 92 pitches including 17 residential mobile homes (rental) welcomes you to a property of nearly 4½ acres in a quiet and shaded setting under our oak, mulberry and maple trees.

Bordered by a pine forest, many services are available to you, such as a store with bread and buns in the morning (on order only), a snack bar where you can have your breakfast, lunches and dinners every day in a friendly atmosphere, plus buy cold drinks and ice-creams (lollypops and bowls of ice-cream).

Our family camping site has brand new toilet facilities with hot and cold water; their hand basins are in cabins, WC, urinals, sinks to wash clothes and dishes, a nursery corner and an area for disabled people.

Near to electrical power connections (10A, European standards) and drinking water taps are available to you.

Between Lake, forest and Atlantic.

Your La Jaougotte camping holidays will give you the opportunity to see our magnificent region, sand beaches, many leisure activities and of course our gastronomy.

The Camping la Jaougotte is located only less than 2 miles from the Léon Lake. The soft water lake of 1,087 acres is bordered with two supervised beaches. There, you can practise pedal boating or aqua-cycling, plus many water sports (sailing in dinghies, catamarans, or go windsurfing or canoeing) and fishing (roach, carp and also pike and pike-perch).

Atlantic beaches.

The Camping la Jaougotte is only a little more than 4 miles from the Atlantic beaches. The Saint Girons central beach with all its restaurant-bars and shops; you can reach the north beach through the forest from the Barcottes car park; and La Lette Blanche beach on the Pichelèbe road going to the Courant d’Huchet and Moliets.

This beach has the distinctive feature of being supervised by the MNS CRS (security police) whilst keeping its natural character. There is a laid out car park in the pine forest and no shops are permitted.

Many activities available to you.

Many activities are possible in a radius of 3 to 6 miles from the Camping la Jaougotte:

• Horse riding in the Landes forest or on the beach
• Canoeing on La Palue River
• Hiking in the forest, seeing the Courant d’Huchet
• Cycling on the cycle tracks or mountain biking
• Walks on the Courant d’Huchet (listed natural reserve).

All summer long, activities are organised around the Léon Lake and on the Saint-Girons-Plage activity area (Toro swimming pool, stunt men, circuses, night markets, local dances, etc.).
